A series of toilet roll photography

Due to the UK being in lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, I was forced, like many others, to work from home.I was amazed about how toilet paper had become a 'symbol of 2020’.  There is no reason why we need more toilet paper than usual, but for the first time, people are paying attention to simple things as basic items fly of the selves. 

 

I have created photographs with multiple messages. Some funny, others are factual and some toilet rolls have been used to raise money for charities like Choose Love and the NHS and WHO.

 

My aim is for the audience to be able  to look at this work and think about, panic and consumerism, fear and the impact of the media, individualism, social responsibility or just the cool piece of art.
